Project Engineer, Strategic Teleport Partners United States Princeton, New Jersey Your Job Support the management of 3rd party teleport commercial relationships. Management of all directly associated expenditure, budgets, overall cost control and strategy in conjunction with other key Engineering functions, Sales, Sales Engineering Market Development. Your Responsibilities Support site selection, deployment, and ongoing operations for SES new High Throughput Satellites HTS and O3b mPower gateways. Research, qualify, and select thirdparty teleport sites to support Telemetry, Tracking Command TTC and Carrier Spectrum Monitoring CSM services. Support satellite relocation and reorbit projects by finding and arranging suitable partner teleport facilities. Support all other satellite services which are required to be uplinked by thirdparty teleports. Interface directly with SES Ground System Engineering and Operations groups to define project technical and operational requirements to develop Request for Proposal RFP documents. Manage the site selection process for new services and gateway hosting. Visit new potential sites to validate technical and operational suitability. Liaise directly with SES Sales, Accounting, Tax, Fleet Planning, Spectrum, and Regulatory groups throughout the planning and implementation phases of major projects. Work closely with Legal group to develop and refine contractual documents required to implement third party services and new gateway hosting projects. Develop and maintain Teleport Services Agreements TSA and related Service Orders for teleport partners in your region. This will include drafting new service orders as additional uplinks and new services are brought online. Negotiate technical, commercial, and contractual terms with new and existing teleport partners. Develop a deep understanding of regional teleport and data center hosting rates and other commercial considerations. Maintain personal relationships with key commercial and technical contacts at partner teleports. Create and generate reports detailing both commercial and engineering aspects of hosting services. Input into periodic reviews to improve cost effectiveness. Continuously evaluate service volumes at key teleports and propose service consolidation and relocations as required. Develop and maintain OPEX budget for teleports in assigned region. Includes responsibility to create purchase orders and approve invoice payments. Perform annual budget reviews. Your Competencies Ability to work in multifunctional project teams Ability to respond quickly in a technical environment Ability to communicate effectively with international customers and contractors Proficiency with Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point Knowledge of SAP helpful Excellent written and verbal communications skills Moderate international travel Your Profile Bachelors degree in Engineering. 3 or more years of experience in satellite network implementation and teleport operations. Understanding of earth station design and engineering techniques as related to geostationary, MEO, or LEO satellite operations. Knowledge of standard earth station equipment, such as antenna systems, HPAs, frequency converters and baseband platform equipment. Industry knowledge of key ground segment equipment vendors and teleport operators. Project Planning Engineer 1913044 Job Description We are looking for a Project Planning Engineer to support our activities with our customer EUMETSAT. The selected engineer will provide hisher experience in the area of system planning or ground segment level planning and scheduling during Phases CD of ongoing programmes, as well as support other future LEO programmes. The selected engineer will focus on defining and maintaining the system development logic, schedule and all subsystem interactions, covering the space segment satellite and instruments, ground segment, satellite application facilities, launcher service and LEOP service, as well as the corresponding operations preparation activities. The main tasks of the selected engineer will include Maintain a detailed development logic and schedule of the Ground Segment Including all the subsystems and services, consistently with overall programme constraints, and in coordination with the relevant EUMETSAT teams, contractors and partners Ensuring that the corresponding development logic and schedule remains at all times consistent with programme constraints Performing a critical path analysis of each version of the schedule Followup subsystems developments and participate in necessary meetings and reviews Track progress against agreed development plans and Interaction Documents and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with the elaboration of proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Provide inputs to the Ground Segment Plans concerning the development logic, schedule and interactions Provide regular summary reports on development progress against the development schedule and the status of interactions Identify interactions between subsystems and partnerscontractors and associate them with main development milestones and work breakdown structure. Prepare and maintain Interactions Documents, defining interactions between subsystems, together with their need dates. Interactions will cover such areas as Deliverables hardware, software, databases, documentation, algorithms, test data sets, tools, configuration statuses Support mutual review support, joint test and operational rehearsals preparation and execution, test data analyses Access to services, sites, facilities, infrastructure and interfaces Manage the configuration of the Ground Segment Schedule and Interactions Documents versions, as requested On request, provide consultancy on planning activities within the organisation. Specific Tasks Future Programmes Officer for the Directorate of Telecommunications and Integrated pplications in ECSAT to support activities of the Future Project division. These activities include the scouting of new industrial business partners interested in entering into partnership with ESA or benefiting from ESA support in initiating endtoend satellite systems with high degree of innovations, both in terms of technologies, services and business models. The contractor will be part of a team focused on Future Programmes Acquisition, aimed at initiating new development programmes in the areas of Satellite and 5G, new constellation of satellites and Artificial Intelligence applications to satellite systems. The Future Programmes Officer will have industrial experience in the design and development of satellite communication systems, and business development experience in relevant technology sectors. The Future Programmes Officer will be expected to travel regularly to industrial premises or technical and business events. Specific Tasks Assessing the business environment evolution for satcom, terrestrial telecom and space and potential impact to the satcom key stakeholders Identifying and justifying selected business partners to focus on as a combination of demandpartner pull and technoindustry push using key criteria of relevance and impact for industry competitiveness and introduction of innovation. Analysing opportunities with the selected business partners, in some of the focus areas identified in business exploration 5G, satellite constellations, artificial intelligence.
