Role description summary As a senior member of the Software Engineering staff, you are responsible for the specification, design, development and support of software applications. You will also support teams specifying on premise and cloudbased infrastructure needs for realtie system operation as well as offline tools to support engineering analysis. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Lead and work with an experienced team using Agile methodologies Execute performance engineering and optimization, proof of concept testing, deployment planning and acceptance testing Develop highquality software requirements, designs and architectures Define and build APIs for a layered architecture Perform peer reviews, integration testing, and validation during the software development lifecycle Implement and improve development cycle and continuous integration automation software Work with external vendors and internal operations staff to provide technical expertise Maintain existing software, address software defects and change requests Create technical documentation Keep uptodate with latest technologies Communicate progress and problems to management, estimate and lead project work schedules and anticipating and avoiding problems Provide operational support and respond to operational issues perform troubleshooting and help restore nominal operations document any software development changes required COMPETENCIES Leadership Customer focus Problem solving Selfstarter Oral and written communication Team player Analytical Global cultural awareness QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Required Seniority will be based on experience 810 years of experience and a Bachelors degree, 68 years of experience and a Masters degree, or 46 years of experience and a Doctorate degree in in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field a combination of education and experience will be considered Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Golang, CC, Java Proficiency in objectoriented design and development Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Cloud native applications Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools including Jira and Confluence Fluency in English, other languages are beneficial 10 domestic and international travel Preferred Experience with Azure Experience with Kafka Experience with DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker or equivalent Experience with SQL and NOSQL data storage technologies Experience with both Linux and Windows WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
