Dam: QAR Primadonna Sire: Skips Ole' Poco PineBenson is a very kind and sweet horse, he loves cuddles, attention and is very eager to please, as do all of his other siblings. He ties, trailers and stands for the farrier. I am in the process of getting him used to the hose right now. He is UTD on innovator 5 and rabies, He doesn't bite or kick and is very easy going, he goes barefoot and is %100 sound, and I'd like him to be kept barefoot unless absolutely necessary.I started him in October of 2009 in which he now lunges wjl and goes undersaddle at wjl. lately I have been working on getting his lope nice and easy as well as neck reining, both have been coming along great. He is very responsive to seat and leg as well as voice commands and turns on the spot. Any pressure at all really. I've been very careful with his training so that it dosn't overwhelm him. Although he is a fantastic horse his only vice is that he is very timid by nature, new things should be introduced with caution and if something spooks him he will try to bolt so an experienced and confident rider is a MUST. I've fallen off 4 times due to him spooking. But I feel that it is something that he will grow out of.He has very smooth gaits and tracks up nicely. I was hoping to go in a reining direction with him, though he is cutting bred. His pedigree is Impressive with Poco Pine, Poco Bueno, King and Man O' War going back through. He is very fast and loves to run, if one is interested in gaming. He is also very intelligent, catching on to new things fast.I really love my boy but I just don't have the time he deserves to become a great horse. A approved experienced home is a must. I'm in no hurry to sell, and if I feel a home is not suitable I will decline.
