Team Leader, Solution Automation Luxembourg Betzdorf ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The position is directly responsible for highlighting key elements of the global SES infrastructure that are currently achieved manually, but could be automated to ensure that delivery of requests can be made more efficient and ensuring a more consistent deployment. The incumbent will execute all required work according to SES standards and agreed timelines as per Target Letters and measured by KPIs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULTS AREAS Manage a small team of engineers to deliver automated solutions to the current SES IT landscape Lead the team to implement automation for essential, yet repetitive tasks, thus providing efficiencies for delivering standard requests changes in a more efficient manner Lead the team to proactively recommend solutionsmodifications of the existing environment in order to be able to report on any infrastructure to validate the environment is setup configure as per SES standards Ensure that the team stay uptodate with stateoftheart networking, server security concepts and technologies Provide inputs to Department heads for administrative and management tasks Provide support to internal and external customers for clarification of technical matters and the resolution of technical issues Provide general engineering support to other sections in the operational, engineering sales and business development area Ensure the team fully document all automation scripts and where possible look to see what can be linked directly with Service Now in order to complete endtoend automation Stay uptodate with stateoftheart IT concepts and technologies COMPETENCIES Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Ability to integrate and to lead crossfunctional andor virtual project teams Proactive approach towards potential andor current customers Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision Ability to learn new technologies quickly Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to understand business requirements and work towards solutions Openness for new technologies and readiness for change Stress resistant and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment under tight timelines QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or equivalent Minimum five years of applicable professional experience in a large heterogeneous environment Sound technical understanding of the IT landscape and related technical skills Extensive knowledge of technologies including but not limited to MS Windows, Linux, CISCO Sound knowledge of automation tools and scripting, such like Ansible, Puppet, MS Azure Automation Broad understanding of all technologies covered in the IT Operations group and of Operational Principles Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset Willingness to travel internationally NATOEU SECRET clearances are considered a strong asset.
