US apparel imports from China have stagnated in the first quarter in volume terms, sharply falling in dollar terms after additional tariffs have been imposed as of September. Vietnam has benefited from the shift in US demand with small suppliers like Jordan, Egypt, and Haiti attracting the interest of buyers at a much lower level.
