US apparel imports from China surged in many product categories in the first half, actually hiding a loss of market shares in value terms after the pandemic accelerated the shift in US sourcing to other low-cost countries. Our series of statistical tables offer a comprehensive comparison of volume, value, and unit value changes per origin and product category in the first half of 2021. The report also includes a detailed comparison of Chinese price trends vs. other origins through a series of indexes.
