We are currently looking for a Sustainable Impact Engineer to work either in Harwell ECSAT or in Noordwijk ESTEC, where you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and reporting of grants. ESA Space Solutions is responsible to implement grants through EISI ESA Initial Support for Innovation, an innovative and fast tool to implement this programme remit. You will be part of team ESA Space Solutions that is responsible for more than 180 new startup companies per year, as well as providing many businessleads that connects BtoB relationships and new applicants for ARTES Feasibility Studies and Applications Projects. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Grant implementation Support TIAAM developing, implementing and improving EISI processes proposal assessment, industry support, evaluation of results. Update the TIA Quality Manual with the new processes. Report of grant deployment. Grant reporting Data collection and analysis to produce the aggregated yearly grant reporting. Define and implement strategies to capture and analyse grant impact on SDGrelated data on ESA Space Solutions activities in the report. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Experience in innovation i.e., bringing products and services into market and early stage commercialization. Sound knowledge of Data Analytics Software e.g, Tableau, Python, Matlab, R Excellent analytical skills. High standard of document drafting. Familiarity with downstream space services and applications and with relevant space technologies i.e. satellite communications, navigation and earth observation. Experience using opensource Machine learningrelated frameworks e.g., NLTK, TensorFlow is desirable Excellent communication and presentation skills Awareness of ESA and in particular various TIA space applications and ESA S2 programs is an asset.
