The Space Atmospheric Physics Group in Imperial College Londons Department of Physics is in search of a Magnetometer Systems Engineer to become part of the highly successful, multidisciplinary team. This unique opportunity will enable you to contribute to In flight magnetic field investigations of the European Space Agency Solar Orbiter Mission to study the Sun. The development of a new magnetometer instrument for the NASA IMAP Mission to investigate the acceleration of energetic particles and the interaction of the solar wind with the local interstellar medium. We want to hear from you if you have background in systems engineering, or in working with scientific instrumentation or electronics design and test. An interest in space hardware and experimental data analysis is highly desirable, however, we are also interested in hearing from electronics minded graduates who excel at problem solving and like to be challenged. This career opportunity will suit a motivated individual who would relish working with a small team who have developed instruments that have produced outstanding science on missions such as Cassini, Rosetta and Cluster.
