Join Thales Alenia Space as a Procurement Lead for Propulsion, where you will lead the propulsion equipment procurement strategies in close collaboration with the Product Manager. You will manage a spend of between 100k to 5m. Key Responsibilities Elaborate and sustain Propulsion Equipment Procurement strategy, in line with Product Manager for the whole TAS JV needs Negotiate commercial terms and conditions for major purchasing contracts, and work closely with the Contracts and Legal Department to ensure contract compliance and limitation of risk to TAS, especially pertaining to cost and lead time. Elaborate Procurement quotation for Propulsion equipment with validation to Segment Manger and in collaboration with Bid Projects team Ensure adherence to TAS processes and procedures such as those defined in Chorus 2.0, including export regulations, ethical procurement practices, and ITAR regulations. Manage continuous performance improvement relating to purchasing and implementing the necessary action plans, e.g., dispute resolution, delivery time quality improvements. Lead Supplier Business Reviews SBR and strategic meetings as required, with support of Supplier Operation for Supplier Performance Assessment . Work closely with the Supplier Operations Organisation to minimise supplier claims and charges through effective application of supplier agreements and strong negotiation. Sustain a culture of continuous improvement in purchasing activities. Lead year over year cost reduction efforts in support of TAS goals. Initiate and manage competitive requests for proposal, Investigate and incorporate new technologies applicable to the Products or Subsystems, and work closely with the engineering teams to develop and qualify new products. Work to optimise the amount of spend on contract, utilizing longterm agreements with global suppliers. Implement Transnational contracts frame contracts, in order to foster synergy between needs of all TAS JV entities in the field of Propulsion equipment. Undertake additional duties that may occur from time to time that are consistent with the nature of this position. Skills, experience and qualifications required Previous experience of leading multinational teams to deliver high quality purchasing solutions for highvalue contracts in a space or aerospace context. Expertise in managing endtoend procurement activities in a large multisite, multidisciplinary manufacturing engineering technical organisation. Educated to degree level in a subject that is compatible with the requirements of the position High standards of numeracy and literacy Good level of competency with standard office software word, excel, powerpoint Good level of competency with of ERP systems A professional qualification such as CIPS is desirable To apply If you feel you have the right skills and experience then please apply.
