NEMA's EBCI shows improving business conditions, expectations.

Following 3 consecutive months of decline, NEMA's Electroindustry Business Conditions Index (EBCI) for current conditions in North America rose to 67.5. While 10% of panelists reported worse conditions, equal share (45%) reported better or unchanged conditions. EBCI for future North American conditions also rose to 55.0 in July. While 50% of panelists expect unchanged business conditions over 6 month period, 30% expect better conditions, and 20% foresee worsening business environment.
