Discrimination aboard the United Airlines flight from Chicago to Washington D.C., on May 29th gives us no choice but to question which is most disturbing: The Shuttle America flight attendant's refusal to serve Northwestern University associate chaplain Tahera Ahmad, and likely other Muslim women Diet Coke, or the lack of care shown by Ahmad's fellow passengers. In the face of discrimination, one witness affirmed the daunting reality many pretend we left in the early 2000s, and that is none other than Islamophobia.
