Cotton yarn export prices dropped for the second consecutive week in India, in line with a fall in demand from China. Cotton yarn prices had previously surged to unbearable levels in domestic and export markets. Our weekly report covers fiber prices in India, including cotton, polyester, and viscose. Many yarn prices are also reviewed, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, 100% viscose, and 100% acrylic. Organic and BCI cotton fiber and yarn prices are available. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices to assess the latest trends in margins of Indian spinners.
