Cotton and poly-cotton yarn prices have continued to surge in the past week in India, over a recovery in textile production, higher cotton prices, and lower operating rates at spinning mills. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), and Ludhiana (Punjab).
