Yarn prices have dropped further in the past week in India, as domestic demand was still disappointing and the recovery of the spinning industry was slow. Exports could however be stronger than expected whatever the weakness in Chinese demand. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices, and offering the latest trends of spinners' margins.
