Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

2020-06-08 13:08:54| EmergingTextiles.com

Cotton prices have surged above 60 cents in the past week in New York, boosted by financial speculation and surprisingly good US unemployment data. US cotton export sales have collapsed, however, due to the recent jump in prices. Spinners are far from feeling the euphoric mood of financial markets, and demand for cotton is anemic amid large inventory levels. Our weekly cotton report covers the futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India, Pakistan, and Brazil are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.
