CCIA lobby group calls for US to act against EU copyright 'trade barriers'

(Telecompaper) The Computer & Communications Industry Association lobby group has called for the US government to take action against the growing number of perceived trade barriers in European copyright law. The statement to the US Trade Representative comes ahead of a key meeting of EU states to finalsise their position on the proposed reform of the EU copyright directive, which includes increased regulation of major US-based online platforms, such as Google, Youtube and Facebook.
