When Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company was getting antsy for a new headquarters in the mid-2000s, it became clear to the city and developers that the company's complex east of downtown wasn't up to muster. Never mind the iconic signs and the delicately sculpted Gothic brick facade of the company's namesake theater, or the pastoral cemetery and turn-of-the-century bank building.
