Summary Objectives The specific objectives of the Integration Verification and Validation IVV section are Building and maintaining expertise in test systems and IVV allowing to lead complete ground system level IVV activities Definition and implementation of a IVV Service Catalogue Developing and maintaining expertise on IVV requirements and needs at existing client organisations Striving for constant improvement of efficiency and quality by means of identification and ensuring application of best practices, proven standards and test methodologies and tools Developing and maintaining of a common IVV environment and process across the department Support to other divisions and sections with expertise as well as staff for shorter periods of time Establishing a strong portfolio of projects and services As the Section Head you will play a key role in meeting these objectives, taking the ownership of the tactical day to day planning as well as the overall strategy. It is expected that the Section Head besides the business development support, delivery management and group leader responsibility will actively participate in studies, projects andor product development in the respective area of competence. Responsibilities Duties Evolve and execute the department strategy in the area of integration, verification validation Maintain a high level of technical knowledge, monitor trends in the market and actively seek to understand the need of our customers within this domain Support Sales and Business development in the acquisition of new projects for the Department, Division and the Section in particular Be the Project Service manager on smaller engagements Be the Delivery Manager of all projects assigned tocarried out by the IVV Section staff Be the Group Leader i.e. be the line manager of a group of 515 engineers specialized in the respective area of competence Identify potential products and develop business plans for their implementation Establishing a staffing plan and assign the staff of the Section to the projects carried out by the Section, support and coordinate the staff with the Division Head in case the Section is understaffed or overstaffed for the projects assigned Setting up IVV process and Process governance for improvement Setting up centralized Testing process to track IVV projects, metrics and SLAs Establishing IVV knowledge management system Qualifications Experience Degree in software engineering or similar. Essential Skills Excellent technical knowledge within the business area i.e. Organization and performance of IVV campaigns of considerable size Software Development Methodologies Team leading experience Experience with institutional Ground Segment System SCOS, EGSCC, etc Good view of the market IVV demands at existing client organizations Motivated and driven, flexible and open, with high development potential Desirable Skills System Engineering Expertise Proven track record in strategic planning Experience in Project Service Management Benefits Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days holiday, generous training possibilities, Telespazio VEGA Deutschland pension scheme is offered to the successful candidate.
