China Mobile 9-month profit grows 4.6% as data traffic doubles

(Telecompaper) China Mobile saw its operating revenue reach CNY 569.5 billion for the first nine months of 2017, which represents an increase of 4.9 percent year-on-year. Revenue from telecommunications services amounted to CNY 515.3 billion, up 7.1 percent compared to the year-earlier period. EBITDA stood at CNY 211.3 billion, up 5.5 percent year-on-year, while profit rose 4.6 percent to CNY 92.1 billion for the 9-month period.
